For over 60 years the Newsletter has provided a 'friendly link' between the Society and it's membership. Containing articles and news on the subject of Swiss, Liechtenstein, UN Geneva and related philately, the eight pages, published on a monthly basis, include information on the Society's services and events, informative articles from individual members, and questions & answers on Swiss philately in general. All paid-up members of the Society receive a copy of the monthly publication through the post. Although primarily a tool for conveying news, there are regular articles on subjects of general interest, and items that cover the more specific aspects of Swiss philately. These articles are either authored by Society members or are, on occasions, reprints of articles that have appeared in the journals of sister societies abroad. A long-running feature, entitled Did You Know? produced by a member based in Switzerland, provides an up-to-date account of recent changes in the Swiss postal service, details about new issues and other aspects of philately in Switzerland. The Newsletter forms a major part of the Society's annals, providing a complete record of its activities and achievements. Over the years the content of the Newsletter has built into a major resource for those wishing to research into Swiss philately. The Society's Library holds a full set of Newsletter publications, dating back to the beginning of 1948, selected copies of which can be obtained from the Hon. Librarian at: 'librarian@swiss-philately.co.uk'

Members are encouraged to submit items of interest for publication in future editions of the Newsletter,
including responses to questions raised in previous issues. Typewritten articles, submitted by post and
addressed to the Editor, are the preferred method of communication. Normally these should be no more than
two pages of A4 in length, although long-running articles will be included, based on their merit. |
